Naturopathic Manipulative Therapy (NMT)

Naturopathic Manipulative Therapy, or NMT, is a modality not unlike what we typically think of as chiropractic care. NMT involves the use of spinal adjustments and other joint manipulations along with various forms of tissue work to improve the health of an individual. NMT can not only improve ones musculoskeletal health, such as back or hip pain, but can also improve other conditions, such as headaches, sinus problems, gastrointestinal problems and even high blood pressure.

In addition to performing joint manipulations, Dr. Dennis incorporates tissue work such as post-isometric relaxation (PIR) and trigger point therapy along with physiotherapy treatments such as ultrasound, low-level laser therapy (LLLT) and interferential. The combination of these powerful techniques and therapies can lead to vast improvements in musculoskeletal pain as well as improvements in joint range of motion and flexibility. The addition of individualized exercises to help improve strength and flexibility of the appropriate muscle groups can lead to long term resolution of chronic pain and joint dysfunction.

Hahnemann discovered that when cinchona was given to healthy individuals, it caused symptoms similar to those seen in malaria patients. Through experimentation, Hahnemann found that by using small doses of a substance he could avoid the toxic side... - read more -
